THE HOMECOMING TIDE
a) Tide direction is an important element for any swimmer, boater, or water sports enthusiast to consider before venturing out to the ocean.
b) However, it’s not always easy to tell which direction the tide is heading. But you can tell if the tide is coming in or out when the Almighty God chooses to reveal it to his people. When He does, it is primarily for the welfare of his own people. He always does!
c) You can tell if the tide is coming in and out by reading a local tide table since they list the predicted times that the tide will be highest and lowest. God has his own tide table. He reveals it to His servants, the prophets!
Amos 3:7
"For the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.
d) In the time that the tide shifts from its lowest point to its highest point, the tide comes in. The tide goes out during the other time intervals.
e) High tides and low tides are caused by the Moon. The Moon's gravitational pull generates something called the tidal force. The tidal force causes Earth — and its water — to bulge out on the side closest to the Moon and the side farthest from the Moon. When you're in one of the bulges, you experience a high tide.
f) Fortunately, as Christians, we have the privilege to know ahead of time when the tide is coming!
g) Here is a loud CRY!
"The tide is coming! The tide is coming! It has already shifted its position. It is coming in a force unimaginable! Many people would imagine it to be bad! But know this, it is a good tide!
It is coming to turn around the landscapes and to shape the way it should be. Many people shall be affected by it! Many people shall rejoice! For there is a shaping, a reversing, a turning around of all that have beset, of all that have put, the people in misery!
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4-7)"
h) Though we may have the gut feeling of the coming tide but it shall come unannounced! Expect the tidal waves of the homecoming prodigal sons (daughters included); the forgiveness, the restoration, and the healings becoming more imminent in the body of Christ!
