ARE WE WORTHY?

1. Are We Worthy?

a) No one had ever died for our sins. Yet God in his love sent His Son (Jesus) to be the propitiation [that is, the atoning sacrifice, and the satisfying offering] for our sins [fulfilling God's requirement for justice against sin and placating His wrath.] (1 John 4:10)

b) Jesus died on the Cross to redeem mankind, to save us from our sins because of his love for us.

c) Are we worthy of the cross? Are we worthy of his shed blood?

d) Can we say like Jesus, 'It is more blessed [and brings greater joy] to give than to receive.'" (Acts 20:35)

e) Can we say like Paul that life is worth nothing unless we use it for doing the work assigned us by the Lord Jesus - the work of telling others the Good News about God's mighty kindness and love. (Acts 20:24)
